Saint Mark Alumni
St. Mark Catholic School is currently beginning the process of compiling an alumni database and increasing our development efforts. Check back regularly to keep updated with new developments.
We are hopeful that we will be able to establish the following:
- A Strong and Vibrant Alumni Assocation
- Be able to host and help coordinate Class Reunions
- Recognize and Honor Graduates who have used thier Catholic values learned at St. Mark's to build up our community thru an Alum of the Year Award.
- Compile and accurate list of alumni
- Creation of an annual appeal for capital development projects and to fund our Adopt-a-Student program to help keep Catholic education viable for Catholic families of all socioeconomic standing.
New School Update
Over the past few years numerous parishoners and current school families have worked tirelessly to provide the children of St. Mark with a new school. There have been countless meetings. The good news is that much progress has been made.
Before we can launch a campaign we must do the necesarry initial steps. Attached below are two copies of reports commissioned and paid for to help us progress our cause.
The first report is from the "Reid Group". The Reid group is a national Catholic consulting firm that helps provide objective inofmation regarding the decisions schools make as they move forward. The next report is that of Guidance in Giving. Guidance and Giving was hired to help determine the amount of support available from the local parish level.
It is important to remember that funding sources include the current parish, alumni, parish trusts and holdings, sell of parish land, and potential borrowed funds. The Guidance in Giving report details the amount that can be reasonably expected from the parish only.
Below the GIG report are potential site options. After this there is a link to a comical movie about the need for a new school produced by our students. Some elements of need have been dramatized for emotional affect. Our building is safe and sound but we owe it to our students to bring them the best.
